I'm Megan Gilbreath, a Midwest-based artist who's currently based in Des Moines, Iowa. I've been singing and acting as early as I can remember, and I received my BFA in Musical Theater from the University of South Dakota in 2022. Some of my favorite roles/experiences thus far have been: Maria (Twelfth Night, Or What You Will! - SDSF), Hecuba (These Women of Troy - USD), and Hesione (Triumph of Love - USD).
I was also featured on Good Morning America, The Late Night Show with James Corden, and Playbill.com with Daniel Mertzlufft's The Grocery Store Musical back in the fall of 2020! This theatre spoof of Louise Melcher's song, "New York Summer" certainly gained more traction than I thought it was going to, with others in the Tiktok community making a slew of duets to join in the fun. Even Skylar Astin downloaded Tiktok to participate!
Currently, I have been and am continuing to work with Disney Cruise Line as a performer in their mainstage casts. I'm currently preparing to embark the Disney Fantasy for the second time, and I'm loving making magic at sea and doing what I love!
So, what's new?
2025 is here and in full swing! I have currently been training in Toronto with Disney Cruise Line for my third contract with them, and I'm having such an amazing time! I'm so fortunate that during my time with them that I've been able to travel the world and meet so many amazing artists!
I'll continue to be onboard the ship through the summer, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
